I had looked into the childhood education international websites
back in September-October, 2012. There are two that I had signed up for ACEI & NACYE, and one that I had contact through e-mail is UNICEF. The one I would like to share with my
colleagues is ACEI/
E-Newsletter reports: Association for Childhood Education International.

ACEI and the
Alliance for Childhood are leading the way in promoting the Decade for
Childhood. The Decade is a multi-year initiative to examine the changes
occurring in childhood and find effective ways to address them.
ACEI is establishing
a new program called the Ambassadors for Childhood. The Ambassadors program
will serve as a centerpiece of the Decade for Childhood initiative. An
inaugural cohort of Ambassadors is being selected. Ambassadors will advocate
for childhood in various ways in their local communities and on the national
and international levels.

out how to participate in the Decade for Childhood.

That's wonderful that you received a UNICEF contact. How did you get it? Was it by email? I made an attempt but I received nothing.
ReplyDeleteIvelisse, this was done back in June, 2012, I was looking at their children needs, and the support they needed for UNICEF. William Joe is the person that sent a letter back to me stating their issues. I have to contact him again and get more details for the class. I not should if he is the person to question about our class assignments.
DeleteThank you for letting me know. I checked my email today and I haven't gotten a response. I sent another one today. I am crossing my fingers for this one too.
DeleteGood choices! That program will be interesting, "Ambassadors for Childhood"
ReplyDeleteTamarah, thanks for your comments on my blog. I corrected my URL. I put a period between my name that was the problem. It is lindahollis51.blogspot.com. This is going to be very interesting, but I am excited about it. Good luck, and it is good having you in my class again.

Hello Tamarah:
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I blog with you, with the hopes of many future bloggings.
Your blog/post was very informative. Decades of Childhood is something new to me. I look forward to reading/learning more. One thing that got my attention is the fact that it is on a national and a global level childhood advocacy. It is the "whole" child on both levels. Wonderful post!
Marijan :)
Thanks for sharing this great information!
